What an incredible start to a brand new season and a year of new beginnings!

You know new beginnings are awesome. Have you ever travelled overseas or somewhere that you have never been before? The sense of adventure and discovery is amazing. New cultures, new scenery, mountains, beaches, sometimes you are not sure what to look at first as you try to take it all in. Yet a new place can also sometimes come with a little uncertainty because you are in the middle of somewhere unfamiliar. The food is different, the people are different, your bed is different, and sometimes as much as an adventure is great, part of you can't wait to return home to what is familiar. Most of us don't like to feel unsettled and we definitely aren't that comfortable with change. Yet the Bible talks so much about God's desire to bring progressive and continual change in our lives, not to harm us, but in order to bring us closer to Him. His purpose for change is like changing seasons that bring forth new fruit. I don't know about you, but thank God He brings change so that we can experience so many different varieties of fruit. As much as I love apples, I can't wait for blueberry season.

It is wise for us to be discerning and to remain sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit in order to discover the Lords purpose for our lives. However, this may require some change and a greater trust in Him.

The prophet Isaiah said:

"Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.
See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you
not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert
and streams in the wasteland." NIV
Isaiah 43:18-19

We encourage you to not remain in the comfort of the familiar, but seek something new. Be courageous enough, to step out and not remain and settle in what God did yesterday in your life, for He is doing a new thing. Make sure you are a person that will not only perceive it, but receive it. Open your heart and receive renewed intimacy with Him, new wine, new revelation, and a renewed purpose.

We are so excited about what God is doing in your life. We look forward in seeing His plan refined and released in you so that you will be equipped to bring life, and hope to people in our community and throughout the world.
